Proo was born and raised in the South Bay and started playing baseball at North Torrance Little League as a young kid. Proo started playing travel ball around age 11 which prepared him for his high school and college career.

Proo had a 1.11 ERA in his 3rd and final varsity season at West Torrance High School. Proo was awarded the Cy Young his senior year and was also elected runner up as MVP in the Pioneer League that year. Proo then went on to pitch at El Camino College from 2018-2019 before transferring to West LA College for his two seasons (2019 and 2020) until COVID cut the 2020 season short.

After hanging up his cleats, Proo accepted the assistant pitching coach position at West LA College. Following that season, Proo became a full time coach at Wrecking Yard helping with the 13U & 14U teams and also giving individual lessons. Proo currently offers hitting and pitching lessons here at The Wrecking Yard.

Proo always brings great energy and has a ton of fun, all of our kids love working with him and we are blessed to have him as part of our Wrecking Yard family!
