Queen Juarez-Ward Queen Juarez-Ward Queen was born and raised here in the South Bay, although she attended King Drew Medical Magnet High School in Willowbrook. As a dual sport athlete she managed to play in CIF championships for both Softball and Basketball. Queen was a true utility player but shined especially in the OF and behind the plate. After winning the Softball CIF D2 championship in 2017 she assisted on her first coaching staff for Dodgers Dream field teams. Queen went into her senior year with a tremendous amount of confidence, then suffering two rotator cuff injuries. This injury did not physically set her back initially as she played through the pain, winning many awards including a golden glove and most putouts. She was the first to ever do this at her school as a primary catcher, although receiving some small offers she decided to focus on her academics at Cal Poly Humboldt, Queen was a strong student receiving many scholarships for her merits in the classroom. Two years later she found herself back on the field with El Camino College in 2020 with her time there being cut short due to Covid. Queen never saw herself as a coach but always found herself wanting to help others succeed, before she knew it she was in love with coaching. Queen is currently the head coach of her Alma Mater King Drew junior varsity softball team and loves to work with clients of all ages. She is our head of softball here at Wrecking Yard and will be leading our travel teams being formed this summer (2023). Queen gets great results with her clients and they always have a lot of fun doing it! Queen is a very well rounded coach currently offering hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching lessons. She can’t wait to meet you and guide you on your softball journey! 🙂
