Nick Green is a Georgia native who since moving out to LA 10 years ago, has had coaching stints at Animo Venice high, Windward school, Peninsula high school, and has been at Wrecking Yard since 2020.
While at Animo Venice, Green helped improve the pitching staffs ERA from 2.80 to 2.49 in his first year, and 2.23 in his second year. Green was a part of two winning seasons at Animo Venice with his second year (2017) giving Animo Venice its best division record(11-1) in school history.
Green was part of the Windward staff that set the school single season record for most wins since joining the Gold Coast League (18). At Windward Green led the Cats pitching staff, ranking in the top 2 in multiple pitching categories in the Gold Coast League. Green was also part of Windwards first appearance in the Division 4 State Semi Finals, since 2008.
At Peninsula, Green lead the Panthers at the helm to a 20-10 record (more wins then the last 2 years combined), a Co Bay League Championship, reached the playoffs (which ended a 6 year drought), and lead the Panthers to its first CIF Division 5 title in school history. Coach Green was awarded Division 5 Coach of the Year as well as All-Area Coach of the Year honors.
Coach Green resides in the Torrance area where if he’s not on a field, he enjoys spending time with his son Leo.
